For many healthcare workers on the front lines, as well as for staff essential to keeping our clinics and hospitals running, access to regular forms of child care has diminished due to Covid-19. They help pair families with students who can provide childcare and also connect families with community resources. While physicians are spending their days in our nation’s hospitals and clinics, triaging patients, operating, and managing ventilators, medical students across the country have had their education put on hold, being pulled out of clinical rotations and classrooms.
