However, Viagra can be taken anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity. Patients should not take Viagra more than once in a day. Based on how effective Viagra is and how well the patient tolerated it, the dose may be increased to a maximum recommended dose of 100mg or decrease it to 25mg. The pill can be taken with or without food, as patient prefers.
