Cialis is a drug that is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. Cialis is the brand name of the generic drug tadalafil, and is manufactured by many companies. Cialis is in the same family of drugs that includes Viagra and Levitra, called PDE5 inhibitors. These drugs were first developed to help treat a lung disease called Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, but it was soon discovered that the drugs also had beneficial effects for men who have problems with erectile dysfunction.
An erection happens when blood vessels in the penis relax and allow more blood to enter the penis. Cialis works by helping to relax the smooth muscles that surround certain blood vessels, including blood vessels in the penis. This helps the blood vessels open up to allow more blood to flow in. It is important to note that taking Cialis does not cause an erection; sexual stimulation is still needed for an erection to happen.
Cialis comes in tablet form. The tablets are available in four different strengths, with each strength a different shade of yellow. There are two different plans for taking Cialis; the dose you take will depend on which plan you follow.
How to take Cialis?
One plan is to take Cialis “As Needed”. The usual starting dose for this plan is 10 mg. The tablet should be taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity is planned. The effects normally last for up to 36 hours.
A second plan for taking Cialis is “Daily Use”. The dose for daily use is lower, usually starting at 2.5 mg. For this plan, the tablet should be taken at the same time every day, no matter when sexual activity is expected to occur.
For either plan, Cialis can be taken with or without food. Do not chew, crush, or split a Cialis tablet; it must be used whole.
Some common side effects of Cialis include headaches, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and congestion or runny nose. These side effects usually last only a couple hours. Muscle aches and back pain usually go away in about 2 days.
One unusual and rare side effect of Cialis is vision changes that cause everything to be tinted blue, or losing the ability to tell blue and green apart. Also very rarely, Cialis can cause vision or hearing loss.
A more serious side effect is an erection that lasts too long. Very rarely, a condition can happen called priapism, where the erection is painful and lasts for more than 4 to 6 hours. If this happens, you should get medical help right away, because priapism can lead to permanent damage of tissues in the penis.
Men who have certain heart conditions should not take Cialis. Cialis cannot be taken at the same time as certain heart medications called nitrates. Medications that are nitrates include nitroglycerine, isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, and nitroprusside sodium. Also, there are certain street drugs called “poppers” that are nitrates, including amyl nitrite and butyl nitrite. It is very dangerous to combine a nitrate and Cialis, because your blood pressure can drop dangerously low, and even be fatal.
Do not take Cialis with large amounts of alcohol, because the risk of side effects increases and blood pressure can drop too low.
How to purchase Cialis in Australia?
In Australia, Cialis can be purchased in a number of ways. It is available at store-based pharmacies with a prescription. Cialis can also be ordered online in several different ways. You can fill your doctor’s prescription at an online pharmacy. Some online pharmacies will obtain a prescription for you from their own doctor as long as you have had a prescription for Cialis in the past. Other sources will sell you Cialis directly, without the need for a prescription.
It is important to be that there is a possibility to buy a cheap generic product when you order online, especially without a prescription from your doctor. Also, there are a number of medications and natural herbal products that can interact with Cialis. It is always best to see your healthcare provider first, to make sure Cialis is right for you, then have your prescription filled at a store-based pharmacy or a reputable online pharmacy that requires a prescription from your doctor.
